The name Retson has been well-known in the beauty sector in the Falkirk area for over 60 years. Retson has trained thousands of young apprenctices, many of whom have since gone on to own their own salon, and have won numerous awards and recognitions over the years. The business currently has 17 members of staff, all with different talents and personalities. 

Retson offer everything from cutting, blow-dries, hair ups, colour, highlights, balayage, gents’ cuts, curls, perms, straightening treatments, shellac fingers and toes, acrylics, waxing, henna brows, lash extension, make up and threading. We also offer wedding packages for hair and makeup. Over the years new trends have come in such as balayage, glam makeup and laminated brows and Retson’s always ensure that staff members are trained in the latest beauty must haves.

Myles:

I have trained and employed many new hairdressers and won numerous awards since taking over the salon in 2000. My favourite part of hairdressing is the social side and building relationships with clients. It also gives me great joy to give young generations the opportunity in the hair industry.

John:

I started working in the Salon in December 2014 and am now currently managing the salon. I am involved in many aspects of the business from social media, marketing, business development, organising the running of the salon and interviews / meetings with new and current staff members. My inspiration comes from being brought up in the salon hype. I saw potential to grow and drive the business forward and have worked incredibly hard to achieve this over the past seven years.

Robert:

I am a hairdresser that is enthusiastic and love to be at my work. Since I started in 2016 working here at Retsons Hair and Beauty, I have trained with many suppliers such as GHD, GOLDWELL, Lanza and LA Bio.

Claire:

I am a Fully qualified stylist within Retson hair and beauty. I have been working in the salon since 2011. Specialising in up-do's, I have a passion for wedding and occasion hair. I love helping make people feel their best whether it be with a basic cut or a complete change I am up to the challenge.

Teri:

I achieved an HND in beauty therapy in 2009 and haven’t looked back! I started as a self employed therapist within Retsons in March 2020. Making people feel good about themselves both mentally and physically is always my goal. Whether that be through a relaxing treatment to unwind or a bit of de-fuzzing (waxing) and a good old giggle. I love it all!!!

Kirsty:

After receiving my qualification as a nail technician In 2016 I became part of the Retson’s team in 2018. With the nail industry always changing I ensure I keep up to date with the latest seasonal trends! Specialising I’m BIAB and Acrylic, using our favourite brand CND shellac and Gel Bottle.

Lynnette:

I am 32yrs old, I have been in the hairdressing industry for 15years, I qualified at college HND level 1,2 & 3. I have worked at Myles Retson hairdressing for 14years. I always knew I wanted to do hairdressing since I was little, my gran & aunties are all hairdressers and have their own salons, you could say it runs in the family. I love what I do and always try to better my self, I specialise in colour correction but love all aspects of hairdressing including wedding hair/ hair ups.

Pammi:

I have been working at Retsons Hair and Beauty since August 2014, however I have been working as a hairdresser for over 15 years. I love making the client feel great when they have their hair styled. I also like cutting and styling to new trends and adding colours to the mix. I also like looking at Hair magazines and having different styles ideas. I love doing colour especially blonde & bright colours.

I am a Fully qualified stylist & Goldwell master colourist within Retson hair and beauty. I have been working in the salon for 7 years, I love creativity and I believe that it’s everything when it comes to hairdressing! I also have a passion for colour! Most of of all I love helping people feel their best!

I have been doing hairdressing for 12 years also fully qualified goldwell colour technician. I love colouring and creating new looks making all clients feel there best! I absolutely love my job, hairdressing is my passion!

Ellie:

I am 18 years old and I started working in Reston’s as soon as I left school in late June as a hairdressing assistant. I am eager to start my training in such an established salon and can’t wait to start making a difference to people’s confidence. I am excited to learn about all the different techniques, cuts, colours and styles. Hairdressing is something I have always wanted to do from a young age as I have grew up around a lot of hairdressers and always took an interest in their work.

I have been in the beauty industry for 20 years and carry out a full range of treatments from manicures and waxing to massage and facials. I enjoy being a beauty therapist as I like to make people feel good about themselves.

Rachael:

I began working in the salon in April 2021 as an assistant working towards becoming a qualified hairdresser. I gained inspiration from family and friends who were part of the industry from a young age. I am excited to begin my training learning about different styles, colours and cuts and hopefully grow my experience learning about hair extensions.
